Members of the Ennead team recently attended the national NOMA conference in Portland focused on the theme “Building Bridges: Towards Just and Joyful Futures”. The conference had a remarkable turnout, with over 1,700 architects, designers, students, and allied professionals who explored strategies for design excellence, community engagement, and expanding the talent pipeline into the field. The event provided an important platform to share best practices and critical takeaways on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within architecture. In addition to connecting with colleagues across the country, our team was excited to participate in educational sessions and hold a booth at the career fair.
Ennead was delighted to host nycoba|NOMA Career Development Day at our office, where we welcomed architecture students and emerging professionals, together with volunteers from Ennead and friends across the NYC architecture community for a full day of networking, skill-building, interactive workshops, mock interviews, portfolio and resume reviews. Participants exchanged ideas, experiences, tips, and professional contacts. Ennead Associate Principal Francelle Lim AIA and Ennead Director of Human Resources Daniella Cobb-Holley were joined on a panel by President of Nycoba|NOMA Allison Lane and FX Collaborative Director of Human Resources Shannon Rodriguez where they shared career development insights and guidance. We thank the event volunteers and all the attendees who shared their work and aspirations. We are inspired by their futures ahead and a more diverse and vibrant architectural community.
