Auditoria featured Connecticut College's Athey Center for Performance and Research as part of their 2023 Annual Showcase. The revitalization of the 1939 Art Deco building reinforces the Athey Center’s role as a space for assembly, artistic production, and teaching on the Connecticut College campus.

“Ennead’s project team took the long-ago words of the Palmer family to heart, together with the inspiring and innovative spirit of our client, Connecticut College,” comments Brian Masuda AIA, associate principal at Ennead Architects.
“Our approach to the project prioritised carving out additional shared spaces for collaboration, performance, and teaching, while physically opening up walls to increase visual transparency to reinforce that all are welcomed – strengthening community through assembly and the performing arts.”

“Our firm is committed to the collective value of performing arts and a belief in the power of well-designed space to foster community,” says Ennead associate principal Francelle Lim AIA. “Making this historic facility more open and accessible to all was not only gratifying, but essential for both Ennead’s and Connecticut College’s missions."
