We are proud to share that The Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at University of Oregon has received Honorable Mention from Lab Manager’s 2022 Design Excellence Awards in the Sustainability category.
The Knight Campus sets a new standard for the way that researchers and engineers work. Through open and transparent spaces the building encourages collaborations between researchers and engineers of different backgrounds and specialties. Lofted open laboratories bring faculty and students much closer together, increase the speed of communication, and paired with highly specialized fabrication facilities, allow them to iterate and prototype at a high rate. Workspaces are infused with natural light, have visual and physical access to nature, support wellness, and encourage faculty and students to work together at their best.
