Ennead Principal Alex O’Briant AIA and Associate Principal Minh Tran AIA are in Bangkok this week for the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) 2023 Leadership Conference, where they will present two case studies on Ennead’s international K-12 work related to the conference theme of “Creating Safe Harbors”.

“Using Post-Occupancy Analysis to Create a More Inclusive Campus” will examine the findings from Seoul Foreign School’s evaluation of its new high school and how well it is meeting the needs of the community, and how the information from that analysis can support an even more welcoming environment.

“Promoting Belonging: A Case Study in Advancing Wellbeing and Pedagogy Through Campus Design” looks at how a campus can foster social and emotional wellbeing, and the design principles that can help to promote belonging within a learning community. Ennead’s work for the American School in Japan (ASIJ) will be the lens to explore how these principles are put into practice and result in a transformational learning environment that will create a sense of connection for all.
