The Lane at Boerum Place
The Lane at Boerum Place is a signature building providing state-of-the-art living to its tenants and contributing to the skyline of Downtown Brooklyn.
The Lane at Boerum Place takes advantage of its spectacular site at the meeting of high-rise downtown Brooklyn and low-rise Boerum Hill. Responding to the intersection of historic and contemporary, The Lane is contextualized though it’s striking façade of classic brick and contemporary glass window wall. The 135,000 square foot (12, 542 square meter) rental residential building provides its tenants with commanding views of the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan to the north as well as expansive views of Brooklyn and the harbor to the south.
Each of the 108 residences, ranging from studio to three-bedroom layouts, are outfitted with soundproof windows, custom solar window shades and Bosch washer and dryers.
Utilizing industry standard component and construction methods, the design of the building envelope is an economically sensitive and sustainable solution. In fact, the implementation of the energy efficient envelope has afforded zoning allowances, providing additional building square footage on an already constrained site.
