Ennead is designing a new building at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The Interdisciplinary Instruction and Research Building (IIRB) will house state-of-the-art laboratories for undergraduate instruction in biology, chemistry, and physics.
During the pre-design phase, Ennead has focused on campus engagement, programming, and visioning. Moving into the next phase, our team continues to work with building users and campus stakeholders to ensure that the new IIRB will best serve the UC Santa Cruz campus community.
Ennead is designing the Interdisciplinary Instruction and Research Building to be approachable, accessible, comfortable, and welcoming to the entire student body. The building and site design encourages collaboration and academic success, with attention to those not equitably represented in the sciences.
